Privacy Policy

QIDIAN TRADING INC. (brand: QIDIAN) · Effective / last updated: September 6, 2026 · English controls

This policy describes how we collect, use, keep, and disclose personal information, and the rights California residents have under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended, including regulations effective January 1, 2026). We will handle requests as described here even if we do not yet meet a CCPA coverage threshold.

1. Who we are

The business that decides why and how personal information is processed is QIDIAN TRADING INC., doing business as QIDIAN. We sell physical consumer electronics and smart-home hardware through the QIDIAN Store on Whop, and we ship from the nearest warehouse to the customer’s order address. CCPA applies to a for-profit business that does business in California, collects California residents’ personal information, decides the purposes and means of processing, and meets at least one threshold (inflation-adjusted annual gross revenue, buying/selling/sharing personal information of 100,000 or more California consumers or households, or deriving 50% or more of annual revenue from selling or sharing personal information). Thresholds are adjusted for inflation. Whether we meet a threshold depends on our actual size. This policy is written to the notice and opt-out standard the statute requires of a covered business.

2. Notice at Collection

Read this section at or before we start collecting your personal information. We will not collect additional categories, or use personal information for a new purpose that is incompatible with those listed, without giving a new notice.

Categories collected: identifiers (name, email, shipping address, IP address, device); customer records (phone if you give it); commercial information (orders, items, amounts in USD); internet activity (pages, cart events, referrer); coarse location (from IP or city — not precise geolocation). Payment card numbers are processed by Whop as our service provider. We do not store full card numbers or CVV.

Sensitive personal information: we do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, precise geolocation, biometrics, health data, or similar sensitive information. Account login and payment credentials are handled by Whop.

Purposes: fulfill and ship orders, customer support, fraud prevention, tax and accounting, operate this store, and send promotional email if you subscribe.

Sold or shared: no. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. Opt-out: Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

3. Categories, sources, purposes, and retention (prior 12 months)

This store launched in September 2026. The table describes categories we collect in the ordinary course since launch. Money amounts are in USD.

When the period ends we delete or de-identify the information, unless a longer legal keep is required. Privacy-request records are kept 24 months where that recordkeeping applies.

4. Sale, sharing, and business-purpose disclosures

In the preceding 12 months we have not sold personal information and have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.

We disclose personal information to service providers for business purposes:

• Whop: hosting, checkout, payment processing, order records, and store analytics.
• Carriers: name and address needed to deliver a package.
• Accountants or counsel under confidentiality, and government agencies when the law requires it.

Those disclosures are not a “sale” or “share.” We do not sell personal information to data brokers. If we later start selling or sharing, we will update this policy and the Notice at Collection first, and we will offer an opt-out, including honoring the Global Privacy Control (GPC).

5. Cookies, pixels, and GPC

Necessary storage keeps the cart, language (EN/中文), and checkout working. On a published site, hosting records page views, and we send events such as add-to-cart so we can see which pages make sales. That is our own business analytics, not a sale of your data to an ad network.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as an opt-out of sale/sharing. We also skip email identify/lead tracking after an opt-out. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.

6. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the law gives you the following rights when it applies. We will accept requests as set out here:

• Right to know / access: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, used, or disclosed.
• Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions (for example completing an order, security, or accounting).
• Right to correct inaccurate personal information we hold.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not currently sell or share; you may still submit an opt-out, which we record, and we honor GPC.
• Right to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information beyond permitted purposes such as providing the service, so we do not post a “Limit the Use of My Sensitive Personal Information” link.
• Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny goods, charge a different price, or provide a different quality because you exercised a right, except a difference that the law allows.

We do not run a loyalty program that trades a discount for personal information, so we do not post a Notice of Financial Incentive. Newsletter signup only sends the updates you asked for; you can unsubscribe at any time.

7. How to exercise your rights

We operate exclusively online and have a direct relationship with customers, so we provide one method: email (which the statute allows for an online-only business). Email ruyuanh1120@aol.com with the subject Privacy Request and say whether you want to know, delete, correct, or opt out of sale/sharing. Use the email on your order. We may ask for reasonable verification (for example an order number). An authorized agent must show proof of authorization. We will respond within 45 days, or notify you if the law allows more time.

8. Children

This store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We do not sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.

9. Security and other regions

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures. No internet transmission is guaranteed secure. We process information in the United States. If we ship to the United Kingdom or elsewhere, placing an order means you understand the information may be processed in the United States. Residents of other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws (for example Colorado or Virginia) may use the same email to make access, deletion, or opt-out requests.

10. Updates

We will review this policy at least once every 12 months. If our practices change in a material way we will update this page and the date at the top. Keep using the store or placing an order after an update means you are on notice of the revised policy.
